Other species of timber could be used in place of the beech, and the trim and worktops could be made using larger staves, here we have milled small staves and then glued them together to form the required sizes. Combination of two different species could be achieved, perhaps black walnut or sapele for the worktop and a contrasting blonde species, maple, elm for the framing. Enquire.

The wash basin cupboard has been made to suit the dimensions of the alcove, so providing good storage space. The inset basin is standard as is the mono block mixer tap, but of good quality. The side lights are operated from a standard plate switch outside of the shower room but are also controlled from insde the shower room by a pull switch. Why? The pull switch turns off the side lights and switches the bright down lights on, this is so at night the side lights take preference so as not to disturb your partner.

The large airing cupboard houses the pump and full bore lever isolation valves for the shower, toilet and wash basin, all hidden under a removable access lid. The internal shelfs are all slat construction and each slat has been sanded and varnished. The louvre door is a standard size and the frame was built to suit. Note the shine of the gloss marine varnish to the worktop, this shine is applicable to all of the beech installed to the en-suite.
