Black Walnut & Gloss Vanilla Kitchen
A Gloss Vanilla and American Black Walnut kitchen with bespoke worktop and shelving to accommodate a combined TV & PC, keyboard and ancillaries. All combined with a external amplifier and ceiling speakers for home entertainment. With a Travertine natural stone floor and upstands, American Black Walnut window ledge, a modern clean lined kitchen is achieved.
One of the bespoke worktops is over 4.5 metres in length and 1 metre in width where the end shelves are formed. Constructed from mdf, laminate and solid (46mm depth) Black walnut at our workshops and finished on site. The walnut is treated and maintained with finishing oil and proves to be a reliable work surface.
Composite Joinery completed every aspect of this kitchen from the initial wiring, plastering through to the end decoration. To compliment the kitchen, Composite Joinery designed, manufactured and installed a bay window seat with storage located to the breakfast area of the kitchen.
Transit LWB (Ply Line & Floor)
Composite joinery have produce many of these conversions for DE Photo. This Transit LWB is different to the others in that no cupboard space was required and no worktops. Facility for restraining on board equipment during transit from events was provided and the wheel arch covers were fabricated and finished with the same heavy duty vinyl floor covering and trimmed with aluminium edging for added strength. We are able to adapt the interior cargo space for any situation, enquire for your particular application.
SWB Transit (Storage)
This van has custom made internal storage designed to take care of an oversight by Ford – How to get a standard 8′ x 4′ sheet in the back! Ford made the early SWB Transit 100mm too short! This van also has an RF alarm to enable notification of any interference to the vehicle, it also has a ‘Tracker’ (Thatcham Approved) installed, the owner informs us that the vehicle can be tracked anywhere in the UK. Ply panels were made to suit all of the interior and have been laminated to increase strength and provide easy maintenance. OEM aluminium sidebars are fitted to provide additional fixing locations for straps and ancillaries.
The standard sheet size will normally fit, however only diagonally provided there is almost no other object in the van. Here we have fitted a steel drawer and cabinet rack behind the steel bulkhead, and then designed and installed a heavy duty and secure drawer unit at a point that allows upto 7 sheets of 18mm to be carried flat in the van. The sheets lay inclined to the top of the bulkhead and are secured in place via ratchet straps which utilise steel hooped fixings bolted to the rack. Other points are located to enable other timbers, pipe etc, to be secured in the same manner. This of course means that anything that is carried in the van is prevented from moving and so does not cause damage.
Security today is quite an issue and measures have to be taken to deter and prevent theft. Working closely with the owner of this van, we have attempted to provide a degree of security for the van and its contents. All cabinets, drawers and rack are reinforced or made using stainless steel. The drawers are constructed using 18mm marine ply, oak and again are lined externally with stainless steel. Both are fitted with 5 lever dead locks and run on heavy duty slides with a capacity of 90Kg. Further additions and improvements are in the process of being made and this article will be updated when they are complete and installed.

Each van, whether new or used, is supplied ‘bare’ to Composite Joinery. Using our templates we make all of the laminated panels required, drawers (HD Slides), aluminium trim. We install all the electrical facilities and test. We modify and fit the carcasses…..have a look at the gallery, the pictures speak for themselves.
